- Sorik Marapi Geothermal Project, North Sumatra, Indonesia, 2016
The client needed to develop an interconnection that allowed the export of 50MVA within 12 months to the grid through an interconnection schemes that allowed up to 240MVA. SL Engineers developed a concept design and strategy to be implemented with PLN allowing scalability, time development as well as the ability to roll out investment over the multi-year drilling programme.

As the client acquired the project, it became clear that the Transmission Power Charges (TPC) were on the critical path and were putting the Power Purchase Agreement at risk. SL Engineers developed scope, concept and managed the development of a 3D model of the transmission line using the PLS-CAD software, to be used for pricing and negotiation with PLN.
